Mechanism of Mummification?

How can Korean mummies be formed even if they were not treated with any embalming methods or were not depsited in critical weathers? Surprisingly enough, medieval Koreans were mummified in the tombs during several hundred years, not induced by any causative factors for mummfication previously known to the researchers. The enigma might be solved if our animal experiments might be successfully ended. We use Sprague-Dawley rats for making Korean mummy model. They were sacrificed; and were contained within the miniature coffins that were further encapsulated by lime soil mixture barrier- the same structure of the tombs medieval Korean ever constructed. The results were amazing. Only after three months, remarkable differences in preservation of tissues could be observed in the rats contained within miniature-LSMB tombs. By gross and microscopic examinations, the morphologies of the organs or cells could be observed quite well in the rats for Korean mummy model. Rat in the coffin:
